3C NG Battery 0.2.10: three fixes in three days, thanks to you

3C NG Battery 0.2.10 is out for the version you download from this website, and on its way to Google Play. It wraps up a busy few days that began right after our 0.2.7 post, and almost all of it started with a message from one of you.

How we got here

Wednesday, 0.2.7. The Wakelocks page arrived without root. Around the same time, one of you told us their discharge cycles showed far more mAh than their battery could possibly hold.

Wednesday evening, 0.2.8. This one didn’t fix anything yet. It made support requests include the battery’s own counter readings, so we could see what was really happening instead of guessing.

Thursday morning, 0.2.9. The support request came in with those readings, and the problem was plain to see: short bursts of activity were being counted too generously. Discharge cycles are now measured with the battery’s own counter, and the cycles you already had are recalculated. No need to start over.

Friday, 0.2.10. A Galaxy S26 Ultra owner noticed their charging current was doubled and their capacity inflated. The cause was the 65W+ option, which is meant for phones with two battery cells, switched on for a phone that has only one. The app now checks this by itself: after a couple of charges it knows whether your battery is a single cell, and if so it switches 65W+ off and greys it out, with a short explanation. Your past charge cycles are recalculated too. And because we added the S26 Ultra to our community settings, other owners of that phone get the right setting without having to wait.

On Google Play

If you use the Google Play version, 0.2.10 has been sent to Google and is still being reviewed. It brings you the accuracy fixes from 0.2.8, 0.2.9 and 0.2.10 in one go, as soon as Google approves it. The Wakelocks setup from 0.2.7 stays a feature of the version from this website.

Your watch app doesn’t need an update this time.

Keep them coming

Every fix above began with someone taking a minute to tell us. If a number looks too big, or a graph doesn’t make sense, send a support request from Settings > Help and Support. It includes the readings we need, and as this week showed, it can turn into a fix within hours.

Thank you to everyone who wrote in.
