3C NG Battery 0.2.4 is out, together with its Wear OS companion, 3C NG Watch. It’s a small release on its own, but it’s a good moment to look back at how far the app has come since the first beta, and it’s a step in the right direction.
What’s new in 0.2.4
- Fixes doubled charging current on the OnePlus Nord CE5. Thanks to the first support report sent from 3C NG Battery!
- Wear OS: fixes current always reading 0 mA on Galaxy Watch7, Watch8 and Watch Ultra.
- Battery support reports now include raw current and charge counter readings, so issues like the one above can be diagnosed from a single report.
Since the first beta
0.1.0, released in August 2026, was a complete rewrite and redesign of 3C Battery Manager and 3C Battery Watch. It has had 14 updates since. Here are the highlights.
Reliable background recording
- Recording no longer silently stops while the screen is off on devices that freeze background apps.
- Recording now resumes properly after being turned off and back on.
- Graph widgets no longer leave a permanent gap while the screen is off.
Wear OS companion
- Watch synchronization is more reliable, and the dashboard’s watch card no longer shows outdated charging or battery info.
- Watches without a current sensor, such as the Pixel Watch, now show current estimates and the Aging tab.
- More Galaxy Watch models now report real current readings.
- Watch updates no longer get stuck on small screens.
- The watch app now uses the same icon and splash screen as the phone app.
Community Compare
- Each of your devices now has its own sharing switch, so you choose exactly which battery data is compared with the community.
Estimates and dashboard
- Charge time estimates are more accurate.
- The dashboard’s history cards are improved.
- The tab bar and navigation drawer now follow the dashboard’s card order, including hidden cards.
- Many smaller UI, performance and stability improvements.
Direct installs
- If you installed from this website, update checks are smarter and registration is more reliable, so you get new versions without hunting for them.
Help us get it right
Every device reports battery current a little differently. If the readings look wrong on yours, please send a support request from Settings > Help & support. 0.2.4’s main fix came from exactly that.
