3C NG Battery 0.2.5 is out, together with its Wear OS companion, 3C NG Watch. This one is all about trust in the numbers: more accurate capacity, an honest answer to “why does my battery show less than the box says?”, and a lot more help from the community.
Capacity you can trust
- Charging is now recorded every minute, so the measured capacity is more accurate.
- The Aging tab has a new “Why less than advertised?” link. It explains why the capacity printed on the box is rarely what a battery really holds, even when it’s new.
- Current and capacity are fixed on dual-cell OnePlus phones and other two-cell phones, such as the ROG Phone and Xiaomi 11T Pro.
The community helps you set up
- The setup wizard now fills in your phone’s rated capacity and the best way to read its current from community data, and the current (mA) step is simpler.
- Compare shows community health, aging and power figures for your model, with a link to the full statistics.
Watches
- If you installed from this website, you can now install the watch app straight from your phone. No computer is needed.
- Battery drain is shown even on watches without a current sensor, using community data.
- Watch notifications refresh as soon as you turn your phone’s screen on.
Help us get it right
Most of what’s new in this release comes from you: support reports, shared battery data and poll votes. If something looks wrong on your device, please send a support request from Settings > Help & support. And if you have a minute, vote in the community polls in the app to help decide what comes next.
